First, the gabion net can be a box shaped gabion in the shape of a net box. It is a structure used for filling stones or fixing grids. This structure is woven by low-carbon steel wires or combined by welding. Its surface can be electroplated or PVC coated on the basis of electroplating. Compared with the welded gabion net, the woven gabion net has good flexibility, so it is not really suitable for the performance of adapting to settlement and load. Although the stones filled are dense, due to its own flexibility, it is easy to deform in places with large turns or settlements. However, due to the structural nature and high-strength tension of the gabion net, this form of structure will still be selected in engineering.

The second is to fill the interior of the gabion net with hard weathering resistant stones as the filler, so that the gabion net cage will not be worn and broken in the process of sinking and discharging. If there are stones of different sizes and types, they will have different characteristics, so that the stones of this multi angular size can be more easily combined, well connected, and not easy to collapse and deform. Therefore, in the use of large retaining walls, it is more effective and easier to select various types of Gabions and fill them with polygonal stones and common round stones. The filled stones are generally 1.5 times the size of the grid. The size of a single stone is not less than the standard grid size. The size of the ordinary woven gabion mesh is 60*80mm~100*120mm, generally not more than 200mm standard size.

The third is internal filling. Generally, mechanical filling can be used, but it is not as well controlled as manual filling. However, for the modified retaining wall, the application can produce a good appearance form, and the structure is dense. Whether it is machine or manual, the filling completely fills the gabion cage, reducing the gap, and making the retaining wall of the gabion cage have a good effect.
